OUR STORY

In 2004, the advertising world was shaken when two former ad-agency executives, Avi Cohen, and Lukas Bauer, founded Atlas NYC, a marketing communications agency solely focused on environmental and sustainability ad campaigns. The two friends had a shared passion for using advertising as a tool for good, and they saw a growing demand for environmental and sustainable advertising in the market.

At Atlas NYC, Avi and Lukas made a commitment to only work with clients who shared their values and were committed to reducing their environmental impact. This led to some initial challenges, as many clients were more focused on traditional advertising strategies rather than sustainability. However, as public awareness of environmental issues grew, more and more clients began seeking out Atlas NYC for their expertise in sustainability advertising.

With a focus on innovation and creativity, Atlas quickly became a leader in the field of environmental advertising. The agency won numerous awards for their campaigns, which used humor, emotion, and storytelling to engage audiences and inspire action for a better future.

Emily Chen, COO

Emily is bringing her exceptional leadership and marketing expertise to the executive team. Prior to joining Atlas, Emily held senior roles at several prominent ad agencies, including Ogilvy & Mather and J. Walter Thompson. Emily's dedication to excellence has earned her numerous advertising awards, including the Effie Award and the Cannes Lions Award, for her work on several high-profile campaigns, and has been named one of Adweek's "Women to Watch" for her outstanding contributions to the field.

Oliver Maltby, Executive Creative Director

Oliver is an award-winning Creative Director and branding specialist who straddles the intersection of strategy and design to create stories, interactions, and experiences that move people, impact lives, and companies. He is credited with more than 100+ leading international design and advertising awards, and examples of his work are published in some of the world’s most esteemed design manuals and branding websites. Oliver is active in design education – lecturing, mentoring students, and judging creative awards.

Fernanda Silva de Goes, Head of Strategic Planning

Born in Brazil Fernanda has a background in environmental sciences and business and made a name for herself with environmental NGOs such as Sierra Club Foundation and Greenpeace. Fernanda is a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and is passionate about using her talents to help clients achieve their goals and make the planet a better place.
